日本のACN(各国のモータースポーツ権能団体)であるJAF(日本自動車連盟)は、2013年のF1日本GPについて、10月11日(金)～13日(日)の日程でFIA(国際自動車連盟)に申請したことを発表した。
2013年もホンダ傘下にある(株)モビリティランドの主催でお馴染みの鈴鹿サーキットで行われる。
当地での開催は1987年の初開催以来、2013年で通算25回目のグランプリという節目となる。
